Yousef Emara

Yousef is an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. From a young age, he displayed deep conviction for protecting the environment. His first contribution to water conservation began with a petition launched in 8th grade to Limit Nestlé's Michigan Water Withdrawals, which has been signed by 171,000 people and counting. A year after starting his petition, he connected with MCWC and has been working closely with the organization to raise awareness about the environmental impact of pumping activities by water bottling companies. In 2021, Yousef produced and directed a short film on the topic called, White Water: The Turbulent Story of Bottled Water in Michigan. Yousef officially joined MCWC's board in April 2022.
