EVART, MI — Nestle Ice Mountain needs more than a permit from the state of Michigan to monetize additional water the company wants to pump from the headwaters of Chippewa Creek in Osceola County. It needs another building.
And there’s a chance local officials won’t allow Nestle to build it.
On Tuesday, April 18, the Osceola Township Planning Commission will consider Nestle’s pending request to build a pipeline booster station to pump the extra water it might get from its White Pine Springs well No. 101 off 9 Mile Road to a tanker truck loading dock along U.S. 10 in Evart.
